Dr. Pasapong Areerek, Director of Public Administration in Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation System Division at NXPO, recently presented “E-Participation for Citizen-Centric Policymaking” at Policy Innovation Exchange 4 (PIX4).
Hosted by Thailand Policy Lab, in collaboration with the Office of the National Economic and Social Development Council and partners, PIX4 took place on 16-17 February 2024 at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center. The objective of this meeting was to engage the public, private and civil society sectors, along with international organizations, in the process of public policy design through knowledge exchange and policy debate. Executives and representatives from various organizations participated in the event, sharing their valuable experiences and perspectives. Distinguished speakers included Mr. Danucha Pichayanan, Secretary-General of the National Economic and Social Development Council, and Mr. Renaud Meyer, Mr. Renaud Meyer, Resident Representative at the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Thailand.
Mr. Pasapong’s presentation showcased a virtual platform designed to engage the public in the policy design process. The platform was built upon “Policy Innovation Platform for the Better Future” which was established by NXPO for crowdsourcing policy innovation during the COVID-19 pandemic. This virtual platform, developed by NXPO and Thailand Policy Lab, is scheduled to launch mid-2024.
