At the Sci Power for Future Thailand Fair, NXPO presented the STEMPlus platform to fair visitors. STEMPlus is designed to support high-skilled workforce development to meet industry demands. It aims to enhance the competitiveness of Thai industry, aligning with the government’s IGNITE Thailand vision.
Dr. Siriporn Pittayasophon, Senior Strategist and Acting President of NXPO, explained that the STEMPlus platform provides comprehensive services, ranging from training course and STEM employment certification for tax incentives under the Thailand Plus Package to job matching and recruitment services coordinated by the STEM OSS (STEM One-Stop Service) center.
Dr. Siriporn also revealed the surge in demand for skilled workers, especially in advanced industries such as the semiconductor, electric vehicle (EV), and artificial intelligence (AI) sectors, which are strongly promoted through the government’s investment promotion policy. To meet this rising demand, NXPO is expanding STEMPlus, with plans to establish STEM OSS centers in all regions of Thailand.
“Regional STEM OSS centers will help connect enterprises with local universities in their respective region, facilitating job matching and tailor-made training and courses through an industry-university co-creation approach,” said Dr. Siriporn.
