วันที่เผยแพร่ 16 December 2024

MHESI-NXPO, in partnership with the College of Art, Media and Technology (CAMT) of Chiang Mai University, and industry partners Unformat Studio and Real Bangkok, hosted the Virtual Production & Cartoon Design Showcase and Creative Industry Development Seminar. The event, held on 13-15 December 2024 at Chiang Mai University, was an integral part of the “MHESI Program to Promote Creative Media Industries and Soft Power” and was organized alongside Chiang Mai Design Week 2024.

Dr. Mahadthon Prutkajonchai, Policy Specialist at NXPO, participated as a panelist in the seminar on 13 December 2024. He discussed the government’s soft power policy and NXPO’s strategy to drive the development of Thailand’s creative industry. Key elements of this strategy include developing workforce, fostering research and innovation, and supporting an innovation ecosystem to empower creative industry enterprises, with a goal to position Thai content creators on the global stage.

The event was attended by distinguished guests, including Professor Dr. Pongruk Sribanditmongkol, President of Chiang Mai University, and Lieutenant Dr. Tanakrit Ekkayokkaya, Deputy CEO of the Thai Media Fund (Chairman of the MHESI Program to Promote Creative Media Industries and Soft Power). They visited the showcase, featuring participants’ innovative works, and engaged in discussions with industry partners on further expanding the initiative.

The MHESI Program to Promote Creative Media Industries and Soft Power aims to pilot the Creative Content Accelerator Program, which equips Thai creators with advanced skills in new production tools such as virtual production and cartoon design. These tools will be used to produce creative media such as short films and video clips for public distribution.
