MHESI-NXPO recently participated in EduTech_Asia, the region’s largest conference and exhibition for educators and EdTechs, held at the Sands Expo and Convention Centre in Singapore on 6-7 November 2024. Ms. Panisa Harnpathananun, Director of Higher Education Innovation and Future Skills Development Division at NXPO, joined panel discussions within the EDUtech Asia Policy Summit on 7 November 2024.
During the session titled “Collaborative Partnerships to Deliver Meaningful and Sustainable Improvement in Education”, Ms. Panisa shared insights on Thailand’s new higher education models, including the “Higher Education Sandbox” initiative. Her presentation generated interest and dialogue among distinguished participants from ASEAN countries. In the session on “Entrepreneurship and the Future of Education,” Ms. Panisa highlighted measures and incentives supporting the development of high-skilled talents in Thailand, including the “Thailand Plus Package.” This initiative provides comprehensive support for talent development and employment in science, engineering, and technology and is implemented through the STEMPlus Platform, designed to align industry workforce needs with university programs and foster industry-academia collaboration.
