NXPO welcomes the visit of Minister Supamas to its new “SMART Green Office”

วันที่เผยแพร่ 18 December 2024

Ms. Supamas Isarabhakdi, Minister of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI), paid a visit to NXPO’s newly renovated headquarters on 17 December 2024. The workplace was revamped under the “SMART Green Office” concept.

During her visit, Minister Supamas praised NXPO executives and staff, as well as the three funding units: the Program Management Unit for Human Resources & Institutional Development, Research and Innovation (PMU-B), the Program Management Unit for Competitiveness (PMU-C), and the Program Management Unit for Area-Based Development (PMU-A), for their dedication to implementing government policies, improving people’s quality of life, and enhancing the competitiveness of businesses, from community enterprises to large corporates.

“NXPO serves as a think tank for MHESI and the government, while the three PMUs play a key role in strengthening the nation with research and innovation that lead to commercialization and public benefits,” said Minister Supamas.

Dr. Surachai Sathitkunarat, President of NXPO, outlined three principles to drive organizational excellence: 1) Lean Office – Prioritizing personnel effectiveness and continuous improvement while fostering collaboration with other agencies; 2) Clean Office – Ensuring transparency and good governance; and 3) Green Office – Utilizing clean technology and emphasizing digital transformation. He also underscored the importance of work-life balance.

Dr. Surachai envisioned NXPO as a strategic intelligence unit shaping the country’s higher education, science, research, and innovation policy and supporting the government. As the secretariat of the National Higher Education, Science, Research, and Innovation Policy Council, NXPO works closely with agencies in the higher education, science, research, and innovation system. He also emphasized NXPO’s commitment to increasing Thailand’s visibility on the global stage, gaining international recognition, and working collaboratively with international organizations, while advancing research and innovation in areas of national strength.
