On 17 February 2025, NXPO President Dr. Surachai Sathitkunarat joined the delegation of MHESI senior officials, led by MHESI Minister Ms. Supamas Isarabhakdi on a visit to Songkhla Province as part of the mobile cabinet meeting. The delegation included Dr. Pechdau Tohmeena, Advisor to the Minister; Ms. Suchada Thaensap, Secretary to the Minister; Prof. Dr. Supachai Pathumnakul, Permanent Secretary of MHESI; and Prof. Emeritus Dr. Sirirurg Songsivilai, Chairman of the National Commission on Science, Research and Innovation.

During the visit, Minister Supamas reviewed the progress of various initiatives by MHESI agencies aimed at leveraging technology and innovation to drive regional development, promote high-value agriculture (such as rubber), and support flood recovery efforts. NXPO and Thaksin University jointly presented a social innovation initiative through TSU Enterprise, which has led to the creation of multiple startups and spinoffs under the 4C TSU Model, focusing on craft, cuisine, culture, and community-based tourism.

TSU Enterprise, Thaksin University’s holding company, was established under the University Holding Company (UHC) initiative spearheaded by NXPO. The UHC mechanism is designed to foster public-private investment in research commercialization, bridging academia and industry to drive local economic growth.
