MHESI-NXPO hosts Design Thinking Workshop for Market Data Platform

วันที่เผยแพร่ 31 March 2025

On 28 March 2025, NXPO organized a Design Thinking Workshop for Market Data Platform, as part of the E-Commerce and Innovation Platform (ECIP) Development Project.

In her opening remarks, Dr. Karantarat Nakwa, Assistant to the President at NXPO, highlighted the workshop’s objectives. She emphasized that innovation-driven enterprises (IDEs) are central to Thailand’s transition toward an innovation-based economy. One of NXPO’s core strategies is to support high-potential enterprises with market-ready products, helping them expand into both domestic and international markets. To facilitate this, NXPO has initiated ECIP, a platform designed to provide comprehensive market insights and expert networks that assist businesses in navigating new markets. ECIP will serve as a central hub, accessible to science parks, incubators, and other entrepreneurial support organizations, enhancing business development and market readiness.

“This workshop, conducted by the Big Data Institute (BDI), gathers insights from target users through brainstorming and discussions. These inputs will help shape a robust platform that effectively supports enterprise growth. We hope this initiative will empower Thai enterprises to thrive in competitive markets,” Dr. Karantarat stated.

Ms. Manunya Chunhavuthiyanon, Director of the Innovation Ecosystem for Enhancing Enterprise Capabilities at NXPO, elaborated on ECIP’s role as a key mechanism to promote IDEs. Designed as a national platform, ECIP enables businesses to bring their products to market—both online and offline—domestically and internationally. It leverages the expertise of science parks, incubators, and business support organizations to create an integrated ecosystem for market expansion.

ECIP consists of five key components:

  1. Sales Talent – Training students to become sales professionals who assist  Thai entrepreneurs in market expansion.
  2. Foreign Market Networks and Academy – Building a network of export experts to advise enterprises and facilitating the exchange of lessons learned among entrepreneurs.
  3. Business Matching with Verified Partners – Connecting businesses with trusted international partners to facilitate market entry and growth.
  4. Market Research and Consumer Insight – Conducting market research to help enterprises understand target markets and refine their products.
  5. Standard and IP Consultant Service – Offering guidance on international regulations and intellectual property to assist businesses in meeting market entry requirements.

These components generate valuable data, including lists of sales talents, verified market experts, reliable business partners (e.g., traders, fulfillment agents), market demand insights, export regulations, product standards, licensing processes, and intellectual property protection measures. To efficiently manage this information, ECIP will incorporate a Data Integration Platform.

“This workshop focuses on gathering insights from potential users. The BDI team will use these inputs to develop a platform that truly aligns with enterprise needs,” Ms. Manunya explained.

Following the introduction, the BDI team presented case studies on successful market data utilization for product development and market expansion. They also introduced various data products for market analysis and facilitated brainstorming sessions on specific requirements.
